Window frames, doors and associated frames for, for example, villas are designed from wood or wood-based materials. Fittings 1, for example hinges 6, are anchored with a wooden screw in the frame 10. The hinges allow for a while for the breaking tool and can be relatively easily broken loose from their attachments in a frame piece. Some design of the hinges has been proposed for a better anchoring of these in the frame and sometimes also in the door. Newer doors have a design so that they meet the proposed protection class2, but they do not withstand attacks with more powerful breaking tools such as a crowbar.
There is a desire to be able to increase the security of exterior doors to a higher protection class (class 3), but then it has been required that the door consists of a steel door and »the frames are also made of steel. Exterior doors for residential purposes, such as for villas, terraced houses and the like, it is not difficult with steel doors from an aesthetic point of view.
However, something must be done, as burglary in villas and townhouses during the first three quarters of last year increased by 67% according to statistics for the Stockholm area. Seen throughout the country, the corresponding figure was 23%, but there are also places where the increase is as much as 200%.
Solutions have been proposed that look trustworthy but do not work in practice. This is due i.a. that you make detailed improvements and not a more comprehensive overall solution. As mentioned, the attachment of the end plates and the hinges to the frame has been proposed to be improved on the one hand and the attachment of the frame on the other hand. Even if one improves, weakness remains with the other.
Thus, an object of the holding device according to the invention is to further develop the anchoring of the fittings 1, 6, 7 attachment to the frame and the attachment of the frame to the connecting wall, i.e. both and in doing so not through separate or separated anchors but through a cooperating seizure.
Thus, the holding device according to a first embodiment is designed in such a way that the said anchoring member 2 or the means in the form of fastening means 3 for the fittings 1, 6, 7 are not anchored in the usual frame, i.e. in the frame wood but in the reinforcing member 4 by means of connections to fittings 1, 6, 7 and reinforcing means 4 by means of engaging and connecting means 22, 23. Thus, the fittings 1, 6, 7 are in practice anchored in the frame 10 corresponding to a steel frame.
In the schematic embodiments shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the fastening means 3 extend in the usual way into the frame 10 for fastening of the fitting 1, 6, but then have a longer extension so that they can engage with the connecting means 23 in the reinforcing means 4, which in this case has engaging means 24. In such fastening there is only a little material between the fastening means 3 and the day side 13 of the frame 10, even if the improved anchoring is present through the engagement in the reinforcing member 4. In this context reference may be made at the same time, as an example. to Figs. 3 and 4, it being seen that the frame 10 through holes 39 or bores are provided for the extension of the fastening means 3 through the frame 10 for engagement in said engaging means 24 of the reinforcing member 4.
For the anchoring of the fittings 1, 6, 7 further into the frame 10, both the reinforcing member 4 and the fittings 1, 6, 7 have fastening ears 5, 8 or projections 5, 8 or the like, whereby the fastening means 3 will extend through more material in the frame. 10 and further from its day side 13, see Figs. 5 and 6. Here too there are through holes 39 or bores through the frame 10 for the fastening means 3. From Figs. 7 and 8 it can be read that such said fastening ears 5 or projections can be an angled flange or similar.
For said mounting ears 5, projections, mounting flanges or the like, the rear side 11 of the frame 10 has recesses or recesses 19 for receiving the mounting ears 5. Corresponding recesses 19 are of course present in the said recess 18 if the rear side 11 of the frame 10 is dormant with such.
Corresponding recesses 17 are also present in the recesses 16 for receiving and accommodating existing fastening ears 8, projections or the like.
Frame pieces 10 or side frame pieces 10 usually have pre-drilled, through holes 20 - usually four pieces with cover plugs covered through holes 20 - for exterior doors for anchoring elements 26 for anchoring the frame pieces in the building 29, see Figs. 9 - 14. The frame pieces 10 often have additional means 27, such as adjusting means, and which have stops 25 for anchoring elements 26. According to a further embodiment, the holding device is designed in such a way that the reinforcing member 4 is arranged for anchoring in the building in the wall surrounding the said opening in the building. Thus, the reinforcing member 4 has engaging means 31 or the like for connecting and engaging the anchoring member 4 and thus the frame 10 in the building 29, the fittings 1, 6, 7 being anchored in the building and not only in a smaller volume of wood material in the frame 10.
As can be seen from the embodiments shown in Figs. 13 ~ 16, the reinforcing member-4 can have an extension 44 which extends as an angled edge flange and abuts against a second side 14 of the frame pieces 10, the reinforcing member 4 being even better integrated or anchored in the frame piece 10. As can be seen from Figs. 15 and 16, anchoring of fittings 1, 6, 7 in the frame pieces 10 can hereby be done from the said side 14 of the frame pieces 10, the anchoring of the fittings taking place as far in or as far in as possible from the day side 13 of the frame. and with completely inaccessible fastening means 3, 32.
